下北沢アーツでは久松知子「ドローイング展　この都市の日常」を開催いたします。久松知子は、三重県出身、東北芸術工科大学修士課程修了、現在は埼玉を拠点に活動しています。VOCA2026選出、公益財団法人ポーラ美術振興財団令和４年度若手芸術家在外研修選出、第18回岡本太郎現代芸術賞岡本敏子賞など着実に実績を積み重ねている作家です。
久松は様々な土地を移動しながら、その土地の歴史や文化をリサーチし、人々と交流し、食を楽しみ、その場所の空気感も含めユーモアを交えたキャンバス作品やドローイングを制作しています。どこかで見かけたことがあるような風景、どこにでもいるような人物、馴染みのある物。一定の距離が保たれた視点は、そのままを愛でるという温かみ、そして生活にある少しの悲哀も感じさせます。水彩で描かれた小さなドローイングは、いつもの日々の中で溢れる汗や涙、一瞬の心踊る瞬間のように煌めきを纏います。
日常への愛おしさが込められた沢山の葉書サイズ・ドローイングによるインスタレーションのような展示に中小のキャンバス作品で構成される久松知子の世界をぜひご体感ください。

Shimokitazawa Arts is pleased to present a solo exhibition, Hisamatsu Tomoko : Drawings – Everyday Life in This City.
Hisamatsu was born in Mie, completed her MA in Japanese Painting at Tohoku University of Art and Design, and is currently based in Saitama. She has steadily built an impressive career, including being selected for VOCA 2026, receiving the Grants for Overseas Study by Young Artists from the POLA Art Foundation (2022), and winning the Toshiko Okamoto Prize at the 18th Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art.
Traveling between various regions, Hisamatsu researches local histories and cultures, engages with people, enjoys the food of each place, and creates paintings and drawings infused with the atmosphere of her surroundings and a gentle sense of humor. Her works depict landscapes that seem somehow familiar, people who could be found anywhere, and everyday objects we recognize from our own lives. Viewed from a respectful distance, these subjects are rendered with warmth and affection, while also hinting at the quiet melancholy woven into daily existence.
Her small watercolor drawings shimmer with the fleeting moments of everyday life—the quiet exertions and sorrows, as well as those brief instances when the heart unexpectedly lifts with joy.
We invite you to experience Hisamatsu’s distinctive world, presented through an installation of numerous postcard-sized drawings full of tenderness for the everyday, alongside small- and medium-scale canvas works.

アーティスト・ステートメント

都心の暮らしと表現が交差する街、下北沢での初めての個展として、東京とその近郊の生活の中で生まれたドローイングを展示します。 

東北から埼玉の住宅街に引越して今年で6年。すっかり自分の体に馴染んだ都市の暮らしでわたしのこころを動かすものーそれは身近な人たちと美味しいお酒を酌み交わす尊さや、電車に揺られて出かける都心での新たな出会いという刺激。 

いつも持ち歩いているハガキサイズの画用紙と、ペン、水彩絵具。これらを用いて、止まることのない日常の中で見つけた、楽しく美しい一瞬や、見慣れた風景を改めて眺めて、その現場で手を動かし、絵を描く。世界はいいことばっかりでもないんだけど、それでも、私たちの日常をやさしい気持ちで見つめて、悪くないかもって、この小さい絵は描いていきたいな。

Artist Statement

For my first solo exhibition in Shimokitazawa—a neighborhood where urban life and creative expression intersect—I present a selection of drawings created through my daily experiences in Tokyo and its surrounding areas.

This year marks six years since I moved from the Tohoku region to a residential area in Saitama. Over that time, urban life has settled into my body and rhythms. What continues to move me are the precious moments of sharing drinks with people close to me, and the excitement of new encounters found through traveling the ever-changing city by train.

I always carry postcard-sized paper, a pen, and watercolor. With these simple tools, I draw on site, responding to the joyful and beautiful moments I discover amid the flow of everyday life, and taking a fresh look at familiar scenes that might otherwise go unnoticed. The world is not made up only of good things. Even so, I want these small drawings to look gently upon our daily lives and to suggest that, despite everything, perhaps they are still not so bad.
