酒どころの福島県会津には酒蔵が多く、それぞれ特色ある酒造りをしています。
画家・久松知子さん（1991- ）は、2013 年に喜多方市に滞在して酒蔵を取材し「喜多方酒樽絵画」を制作しました。
本展では2025 年10 月から行った会津地域のフィールドワークをもとに描かれた久松さんの新作「会津酒樽絵画」20点あまりを初公開します。「酒樽絵画」には酒蔵を象徴する「こも樽」を中心に、久松さんが酒蔵を訪ね出会った人々や風景、歴史などが描かれています。絵画で表現された会津の銘醸が勢揃いします。どうぞご堪能ください。

Aizu, in Fukushima Prefecture, is known for its sake, and is home to many breweries, each with its own distinctive approach to brewing.
Painter Tomoko Hisamatsu (b. 1991) stayed in Kitakata City in 2013 to research local breweries firsthand, producing her series “Kitakata Sake Barrel Paintings.”
This exhibition presents the first public showing of over 20 new works from her “Aizu Sake Barrel Paintings” series, created based on fieldwork she conducted throughout the Aizu region beginning in October 2025. Centered on the koModaru (straw-wrapped sake barrels) that symbolize each brewery, these paintings depict the people, landscapes, and history Hisamatsu encountered while visiting the breweries. Aizu’s celebrated sake makers are brought together here in paint — we hope you enjoy the exhibition.

Description: A conversation about sake between artist Tomoko Hisamatsu and Hayato Ogasawara, President of F-Life Co., Ltd. and Editor-in-Chief of fukunomo, who promotes the appeal of Fukushima’s sake breweries. Topics will include behind-the-scenes stories from the “Sake Barrel Paintings” series, as well as Aizu’s fine sake and brewery tours.
